Assignment #1: After reading the first one-third of the book 1984 by George Orwell, come up with three questions to present to the class for discussion. - View my work.

Assignment #2: Part 1 - Select an article from a technical journal in your field of study and submit a summary of that article which would be presented to aid a decision maker in your work environment. - View my work. Part 2 - Using the guidelines from the text, write a 4-5 page analysis on the overall correctness of industry technical articles. - View my work.

Assignment #3: Using standard memo format, prepare an internal memo on the analysis of a short article describing a process. - View my work.



Projects:

Project #1: Chose a technology in history and write a 3-4 page paper which discusses the effects of that technology on many aspects of society. - View my work.

Project #2: Find a job advertisement for which you may be qualified. Prepare a cover letter, resume, and thank you letter as if you went in for an interview. - View my cover letter, resume, and thank you. (Note: My personal information has been removed.)

Project #3: Analyze a process you are familiar with and prepare a short 'instruction manual' for a less knowledgeable or novice user. Include graphics and an explanation of your audience. - View my work. (main, front, and back)

Group Project: As a group, select a recent technology and discuss the effects of that technology on many aspects of society. Assignment is to produce an 8-10 page paper as well as a 20 minute presentation on your findings. (Note: These files are too large to create links. Please email me if you'd like to see them.)
