I use OBS (Open Broadcaster Software - https://obsproject.com/) to capture the final preview of my workspace.
I would love to capture all the editing and rendering portions but the school limits the capacity of the N drive.
Assignment details:
This video shows a viral video in April 2015 with an effect introduction, animated-text transition, and a 3D-text ending
From 00:00 to 00:08: Glitch intro (Tut link)
+++ In a nutshell, this method uses a glitch stock footage to make a Displayment Map (Effect > Distor > Displayment Map) for the selected symbol.
+++ The symbol was made in Illustrator and exported as PNG for better flexibility (no background color).
From 00:08 to 00:15: Text animation using Scale Animation (Animate > Scale).
+++ The animation is set for each word instead of each character.
+++ The Opacity is set to 0% so each word appears to smoothly scale up during the animation.
From 00:15 to 00:26: The viral video.
From 00:26 to 00:32: The suspenseful part of the clip replayed in slow-mo ;).
From 0:33 to the rest of the video, this is the 3D text rending.
The Text is nice bold with Bevel depth of 1.7 created for a cinematic looking.
The yellow-golden-ish light is moved from nearer to further position related to the front of the 3D text.
I would love to exposed the text with different angle, but the rendering time is too dang high :(
Talking about rendering time, I better get like 10pts extra or something.
It took almost 40 minutes to rendering the whole Sequence in Premiere even on my powerful desktop.
